Overview:
At Chi Combat System, we uphold the highest standards of privacy and security for our students. This policy articulates our meticulous approach to photography and filming during classes and events, emphasizing a commitment to safeguarding the well-being of our students.
1. Consent:
Before capturing any visual content of students, explicit consent is diligently obtained from parents or legal guardians. During the enrollment process, parents are comprehensively informed about our photography and filming practices. We afford them the agency to provide or withhold consent based on their comfort and preferences.
2. Purpose:
Our deployment of photographs and videos serves a dual purpose - education and promotion. These visual materials are instrumental in not only elucidating the accomplishments and activities of our students but also in enriching the overall learning experience. Furthermore, they play a pivotal role in highlighting the positive dimensions of martial arts training.
3. Child Protection:
We are unwavering in our commitment to adhering to stringent child protection protocols. Personal information is scrupulously dissociated from images or videos. Students are identified only by their first names, and any additional identifying information is deliberately omitted to ensure the utmost privacy.
4. Sensitive Situations:
We exercise heightened sensitivity in situations where a child may be involved in confidential or sensitive matters. In such instances, we refrain from capturing images or videos, prioritizing the preservation of the child's privacy and emotional well-being.
5. Public and Private Events:
Distinctions are made between public and private events. During public events such as tournaments or demonstrations, capturing images for broader promotional use is common. Conversely, during private events like belt promotions or specific classes, the use of images and videos is judiciously limited to respect the confidential nature of such occurrences.
6. Opt-Out Option:
Families desiring the exclusion of their child's images or videos from promotional materials can exercise their right to opt-out. This can be seamlessly communicated to us via email, ensuring a straightforward and transparent process.
7. Third-Party Use:
An uncompromising stance is maintained regarding the sale or provision of student images or videos to third parties. Any collaborations with external entities involving media always prioritize the paramount concern of student privacy.
8. Monitoring and Enforcement:
Our commitment to compliance with this policy is unwavering. Regular reviews and monitoring mechanisms are in place to ensure ongoing adherence. In instances where breaches are identified, prompt corrective measures are instituted to rectify the situation.
9. Reporting Concerns:
An open channel is maintained for parents or guardians to voice concerns about the use of images or videos. We treat all concerns with the utmost seriousness, ensuring they are addressed comprehensively and in a timely manner.
10. Online Presence: Parents should be aware that photos and videos, once shared online, may be difficult to control or delete entirely from the internet. While we employ strict privacy settings and guidelines, we cannot guarantee the complete removal of content from online platforms.
By enrolling at Chi Combat System, parents implicitly acknowledge and agree to our Photography and Filming Policy.
