Word of the Month: Speed

The Word of the Month for September is Speed! In martial arts, speed is not just about how fast you can move; it’s about timing, precision, and efficiency. At Chi Combat System, we emphasize the importance of speed in both offense and defense. Whether it's executing a swift combination of punches or reacting quickly to an opponent's move, mastering speed is key to becoming a well-rounded martial artist.




How to Improve Speed:

- Focus on Technique: Proper form will naturally make your movements quicker and more efficient.

- Shadow Boxing: Practicing without a partner helps you work on speed and fluidity.

- Pad Work and Drills: React quickly to commands and work on delivering fast, accurate strikes.

- Mindset: Speed isn't just physical; it's also mental. Be ready to think and react fast during sparring or self-defense situations.


Throughout this month, we’ll focus on drills and exercises that help students improve their speed, both mentally and physically. Remember, speed combined with technique and control is a powerful asset in martial arts!

Boosting Confidence and Public Speaking Skills Through the Leadership Team

At Chi Combat System, we believe that martial arts is not just about physical strength but also about building mental fortitude and confidence. Our CCS Leadership Team is designed to help students develop key life skills such as public speaking, leadership, and decision-making.

What is the Leadership Team?

The Leadership Team at Chi Combat System* is a special program where selected students take on more responsibilities both inside and outside the dojo. They assist the instructors, mentor younger students, and often lead parts of the class. In addition to their martial arts training, Leadership Team members also work on improving their communication skills and learning how to confidently guide others. This is an excellent opportunity for personal growth and leadership development in a supportive environment.




Style of Chi Combat System:

At CCS, our training programs offer a unique blend of various martial arts styles, including Kickboxing, Karate, Jiu-Jitsu, and Hapkido, ensuring a well-rounded approach to self-defense and personal development. Each of our students progresses in a controlled and supportive environment, where they are encouraged to develop not only their physical abilities but also their mental resilience and discipline.


By combining the best aspects of traditional martial arts, our students learn to defend themselves, improve their fitness, and gain self-confidence in all aspects of life.
